Help with Pal Mickey!

I'm so excited b/c my awesome DH gave me the Pal Mickey I wanted for Christmas. I'm having a problem, however, no matter what I push, it talks about either WDW beginning, the Haunted Mansion or the Minne show times. Even when I push both hands simultaneously, it does that instead of going to the game section. Do you think it's a battery issue or do you think it's a problem I need to return it for? I'm worried b/c I'm leaving for WDW on 1/13 and I'm afraid I won't get a new Mickey back in time. Or do you think it's a problem I could have fixed at WDW and where would that be?

It may be the battery, or it may be that you're not waiting long enough between phrases. We found the latter out at WDW, surprisingly enough! DD kept pushing Mickey's tummy over and over, and he kept telling the same joke.

I'd say change his batteries and then see what happens

Please don't be offended, but did you read the directions?
I know that you have to wait a certain amount of time in between or it will just say the same things over and over.
We just took ours on our Dec. 3-7th trip and he is really a hoot!
The first day I wasn't really impressed with him until I got back to the room
and read the directions and realized all the things I was doing wrong.

It is in Demo mode. Open up the back and turn the switch to on. I was having the same problem until I realized that it wasn't "on". Have fun!

We just brought him into a store on Main Street, just picked one that had Pal Mickey in the window, and they replaced him for us! He has been acting sane ever since.

My kids and I love him! We have to plan ahead who will get to get the tour from Mickey before hand.

My daughter wants to know when are they going to have a Pal Minnie!!

They would make double the $$ off of us with that one too!

Can I call WDW directly and order a pal mickey before I head down? Is that cheaper or is it the same price if I just get one when I get there.

I don't mean to "hijack" this thread...but, does Mickey REALLY tell you how long lines are at the different attractions?

If so, I may need to think about getting one of these.

I want a Pal Minnie too. Poor MInnie, she is the most underrated character. I think a Pal Eeyore would be hysterical- "Oh, no, we're going on another ride", "Isn't it time to go back to the room yet?"

well, as I expected, I WAS dumb and my dear Pal Mickey is working beautifully! I'm so excited about taking him to WDW! One of the things Mickey has said is that the line to TOT was not long so we should ride - so it will be interesting to see if he does that while we're at WDW and if he is right!

Disney's Character Premiere at Dolphin Mall in Miami was selling Pal Mickey for $27.99 plus $10 shipping about a month ago. I ordered one and received it very quickly. The number is: 954-846-7161 Here's the discussion thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=667919

I don't know if they have any left, but you could check. I've heard Disney is coming out with a new updated version that will have a clothing line.

They still had them 2 weeks ago when I ordered ours and the cm said they had lots left with more coming in! Good luck!
