Help with off site / on site stay and tickets please!

Hi we are starting to think about going again at Christmas (2015!!) and to keep costs down a bit I am thinking of staying off site for 6 days and then moving to OKW by renting DVC points. I would still want to do the Disney parks when we are off site, so will need 14 day tix.
Would there be a problem with magic bands etc when we check into OKW having already started using our 14 day tix? We may add the DDP to our OKW stay, but this doesn't matter as we will be renting points.

Thanks for any help, and sorry if this seems a daft question!! Still trying to get my head round the MB stuff

No, there will be no problem at all. You will just link your tickets to MDE and use them as normal, then use MBs when you check in to OKW. To be honest, by Dec 15 offsite guests will be able to make FP+ reservations at all parks (whether or not these can be made in advance remains to be seen).
