Hi. Here is a link to some mickey fan programs I made (without text). They are not final. I think I might change the bow color to a darker blue. It's easier for me to print onto the circle and then tack it onto the blue background...and I like the way that looks better than printed on the blue.

What ideas do you have for sprucing these up a bit? I cut this one with scissors...but I have a cricut and will use it for the mouse heads. Thinking about adding something decorative at the top of the circle...ideas?

Honest opinions please! A lot of the stuff I'm trying to make is starting to look a lil' too homemade...grr.

Thanks!

Why not use your cricut? Would save time and make nicer lines! You can even cut your cricles with the type on them. It did take me a bunch of time to get my circles centered but once I did I wrote down the position and the others were much easier to line up. Good luck!

Yeah. I will be using the cricut for the Mickeys. how do I make circles on the cricut?

did you print on circles or right onto the mickey heads (erin)?

I cut mine out with my cricut, we have the cartridge that prints out the mickey head. We printed the words out on to the paper first and then put it into the cricut. HTH.

Yeah, all the programs I've seen had the words right on the mickey. Originally I had planned to do this with a smaller mickey head in front (so there was a small border)...but when I cut a smaller head, it didn't line up so that there was an equal border all the way around.

I think I'm just going to go with the circle paper on the front with the writing on it. This however, leaves us with two blank ears. Any ideas for a small decorative touch here? The mickey heads are already cut, so I can't print on them now.

Thanks for the ideas!!!

One of my cartridges has a circle. I didn't make mickey fans but you could do it either way, just takes trial and error to line it all up. That's the frustrating part (it would be easier if I had the expression machine then you could just center it, but I have the create).

George is the cartridge that has a circle on it, as do a few others but I'd have to go down to my craft room and check.

I think it was my Accents cartridge that had a circle! Thanks for the tip!

Any ideas for what I could put on the ears (aside from something that I would need to use a computer printer for)? Thanks!

Here is a link to a second attempt (on a different colour of blue...we are planning on using 3-4 different shades of blue). This one is cut with the cricut!

What a lovely bow - I can never get them as perfect as that!!

I had to youtube "how to tie a bowtie" to get the bow right! I know..it's the first one..I hope the others go as smoothly. Thanks!

These look great! I honestly dont think they need anything else, however, if you felt the need to have something in there how about the date in a fancy font in one ear and a saying or location in the other. It would also be cute if you stamped an overall design in the background. Either way they look awesome!!! Great job :thumbsup2

I have been going back and forth with getting a cricut basically because I do not know how to use it. I would love to do mickey head bday invites for my son, but did not know if you print the text then cut, and would they textbe centered when cut? Does the cricut do scoring....as if I wanted to do a mickey head card? Thanks!

I am sorry. I do not know the answer to your questions. I am sure there is a way to center thinks when printing...but I tried for a bit, and then opted to print on a circle of lighter paper and glue it on. I also don't know about scoring.

Hopefully someone else will be able to help you!

17 days...does something about being under 20 days make everyone want to throw up with excitement..or is that just me?
