Arrive at Open for IOA
Hulk
Spiderman
Harry Potter
Dueling Dragons
Jurassic Park
Dudley-Do-Right
Popeye's
Dr. Doom

Go to Universal

Rockit
Mummy
Simpson
MIB
ET
Disaster

I'm not sure how lunch and dinner are going to work out, but we plan on eating at city walk for both, we also want to see the new nighttime show.
Keep in mind MIB, ET, and Disaster are there only if we have time. Also keep in mind Popeye's and Dudley-Do-Right's is dependent on the weather and our group's moods.

So do you think we can get it all done?
At what point should we eat lunch and dinner? If we can get IOA done in 4-6 hours then we can go to citywalk in between both parks, then go back to citywalk whenever we are hungry again.

Trying to get all this done in one day is going to be really tough. While you might be able to do it, lunch and dinner (assuming you are eating at a nice sit down place that will take roughly an hour and a half) need to be cut. You simply can't waste all that time when you only have one day to visit two parks.

Arrive about 45 minutes to an hour early to the parking area at Universal Citywalk before IOA opens. Parking and walking to Citywalk takes awhile and you want to make sure you are at the gate for park opening...not still walking to the park. Hit HP first! The area still gets really busy and FJ can easily reach a 1 hour wait. After you ride FJ, do Dragon Challenge (it is no longer called Dueling Dragons). After that, work your way around the park hitting Jurassic Park, Dudley, Popeye, Spiderman, Dr. Doom, Hulk. This is seven rides so hopefully you can get them all done by 2pm. 5 hours for 7 rides (most of which can (and will) reach 60 minute waits during the day) is pushing it, but you should hopefully be able to get it all done in that time frame.

Once you are done, head over to the Studios. Grab some food once you get into the park for a late lunch. By the time you leave IOA, walk over the US and eat a quick lunch, it will be around 3pm. Then do Rockit, Mummy, Disaster, MIB, Simpsons and ET. Once you are done with all of those, it will be time to find a place to watch the nighttime show.

Once the show is over and you have done everything you want to do, then I would head to Citywalk and eat a late dinner. Since the parks will be closed, you won't be wasting any of your park time so you can enjoy a nice dinner.

You could eat a late lunch on Citywalk while you switch between the parks, but that might take up more time than you want it too. However, I do not suggest leaving IOA before you have done what you want to do to eat lunch on Citywalk only to have to return to IOA again. That would be wasting a lot of much needed time.

Okay, I think we are going to eat a late lunch between IOA and US at Citywalk, then depending on time grab something quick inside Universal.

I've done both parks in 1 day with 2 kids in tow. We rode EVERYTHING. I definitely suggest IoA first, then Universal & I highly suggest buying an express pass. It is EASY to get it all in with a pass. I would go STRAIGHT to Harry Potter ASAP upon arrival. That general area is just crazy busy.

Good luck!

I'm thrilled to know I'm not the only 1 crazy enough to try such madness!

I did both parks in 1 day several years ago (we won't talk about how many ;) ) but I was curious how I could drag my husband and son along with me!

Being able to show them other families' agendas will help motivate them to the possibilities!

Thanks for the confidence! :thumbsup2
