Ok so I bought dd a new mp3 player for Christmas. This is what is says:

Supported Formats
Plays MPEG-4, AVI, MPG, WMV, MP3, WMA, BMP, JPEG, Protected WMA Files (DRM-10) with conversion CD included.

So I wanted to get her a GC for some music from somewhere. I hear Amazon is cheaper than iTunes for downloads but it can be difficult? Also with the above supported formats what are my choices? I know absolutely nothing about dowloading music. She currently has an iPod shuffle and loaded it with music from cds she owned so this will be new for both of us. please give all information and opinions. Thanks.

I personally prefer Amazon.com over all others, for ease and reliability of downloads. The Amazon.com downloader is really first-rate.

I've always used iTunes and it works great for me. You can get an iTunes gift card in $15, $25, $30, or $50 amounts. That's what I do to avoid charges on my parents' credit cards.
