Our next trip will be Fall 2005. We normally go in Sept., but DH & I would like to try November. We're thinking the week before Thanksgiving would be ideal.

We are homeschoolers so, most any week works for us. However, DSIL and DN want to go along. DN will be out of school the entire week of Thanksgiving. Obviously, there will be more of a crowd that week.

I would like some help with comparing the crowd level for these two weeks. Will Thanksgiving week be too crowded? Would we get more bang for our buck if we go the week prior to Thanksgiving and then DN could complete her make-up school work the week of Thanksgiving? Thanks for any help!

For us, avoiding crowds is absolutely the most important aspect of our trip. We have been to Disney in June. We honestly thought we would never go back. Wall to wall people, crying, tired kids, waits for everything--attractions, meals--you get the picture. I imagine Thanksgiving week is one of the most crowded times to go and even worse than June. Twelve years later we went to Disney the second week in December (before the crowds arrived for Christmas). It was like night and day. The BEST vacation! Now we are hooked on Disney. We will never again go in peak season.

We have been to WDW in Sept, April and Dec. By far the most amazing and magical trip was in the first week of December, the week right AFTER Thanksgiving. The usually arrive the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and start our touring on that Sunday, NEVER any crowds when we have been there. The worst day for crowds the whole time we were there was on Saturdays.

Thanks a bunch! You both have pretty much confirmed what I already knew to be the case. I wanted to hear something encouraging about Thanksgiving week. My family [including myself] is not going to want to go during the busy week, although that is the week that fits the in-laws' schedule best.

Have a great trip ILuvTinkerbelle - wish I could go too!:wave2:

Thanks! We are hoping it will be the best one yet!
Will report when I get back if the crowds were too bad.
Wish you could go too!:wave2:
