Planning on Yachtsman Steakhouse for dinner. That day we will be at AK, but plan to leave right after the parade. Would like to go back to the resort and clean up a little before we head over to the Yachtclub, so my question is what would be a good time for our ADR?

Similar question, different day, different locaiton; the day we depart I would like to eat breakfast at Kona at the Poly. Looking at a flight that leaves at 11:55 a.m. so I'm guessing DME will be leaving our resort to head to the airport anywhere from 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. (3 hours prior to flight, unless that has changed), would we be able to eat at Kona with the earliest time of 7:30 a.m. or would anyone recommend an alternative way to get to the airport. I mean it's Sunday morning, I don't think there will be traffic and I don't think being there 2 hours prior is really necessary. The next available flight is at 2:50 p.m. but I would like to get home sooner than this arrives.

TIA

Last year on our day to leave, we had an 8pm flight, we had to be ready to board the disney bus back to the airport at 4pm. We didn't actually leave till 4:20 but even for an 8pm flight the airport was a zoo. Thank goodness we left that early, just getting through checkin we only had about a half hour before we loaded the plane. I'm not sure with a flight in the 11am range, you would be able to make a breakfast reservation, even if it is the 7:30 time frame. If you want breakfast, i would definitly grab the later flight so you have time to enjoy it.

Thanks for your reply. I still have some time to think about it, haven't purchased airfare just yet.

I just booked my airfare for $158 round trip from Dallas, TX to Orlando with AirTran. That is the cheapest that we have ever flown to Disney!:banana::banana:

I would make your Yachtsman ADR between 6:30-8:00 PM. I'm assuming the AK closes at 5 the day you go??

dang, my flight actually went up today from $238/person RT to $308

I just checked AirTran's web site and they are showing $136/person each way :confused3 When did you purchase your tickets. I put in DFW to MCO.

I'm also waiting for Southwest to release Sept flights next week to compare.

I BOOKED LAST WEEK AS SOON AS I GOT MY AIRTRAN E-MAIL. I AM AN AIRTRAN A+ MEMBER AND I GET ALL THEIR E-MAILS EVERY TIME THEY HAVE A SPECIAL. THE NON STOP FLIGHTS ON TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY & SATURDAYS WERE $79 ONE WAY FOR EACH PERSON. WE ARE FLYING OUT ON 8/15 AND COMING HOME ON 8/22.

I'M NOT SURE IF ANYONE HAS CHECKED LATELY BUT MOST AIRLINES INCLUDING AIRTRAN NOW CHARGE FOR YOUR VERY 1ST PIECE OF LUGGAGE. $15:scared1: THAT IS CRAZY BUT EVEN ADDING THAT TO OUR FLIGHT PRICE, WE ARE PAYING LESS THAN WE DID LAST TIME WE WENT IN 12/07.

I PLAYED ON THE SW AIRLINE WEBSITE AND EVENTHOUGH THEY DON'T HAVE FLIGHTS YET FOR MY DATE, I MOVED UP THE DATES 1 WEEK. THE CHEAPEST FARE I COULD GET FLYING OUT AT THE SAME TIME WE ARE WAS $109 TO ORLANDO ONE WAY AND TO FLY BACK IN THE AFTERNOON THE CHEAPEST WAS $136 SO $245 AND THAT WASN'T A NON STOP FLIGHT. THAT IS A BIG DIFFERENCE.

GOOD LUCK! I WOULD DEFINITELY CHECK ON AIRTRANS WEBSITE EVERY DAY. I HAVE SEEN THEM BE BOOKED AT THE NON STOP FAIRS THEN THEY START A NEW PROMO AND THEY HAVE OPENING WITH A LITTLE DIFFERENCE IN THE PRICE, SAY FROM $79 UP TO $84.

Unfortunately I'm not a member of any airline, we don't take enough vacations :sad1:

I know all the airlines offer different things, like SW had fares "as low as" $49 but during that time I put in the same days but different dates to get an idea and I think departing flight was $99 - $109 but the returning flight was $129 I believe. A lot of specials require you to travel from one place to another.

I am watching every day. Last year for our May trip I booked in Dec '07 and the pricing was $212/person RT so I'm hoping the prices will go back down again. I don't know how often they update their seating chart but as of right now there are only 9 seats filled up on the departing flight I want to take, if they cannot fill the plane maybe they will drop the price :confused3

LET'S HAVE GOOD THOUGHTS:lovestruc THAT YOU WILL GET EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT!
TO BE A AIRTRAN A+ MEMBER YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING BUT SIGN UP. NO COST AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO. IT JUST PUTS YOU ON THEIR E-MAIL LIST AND ANYTIME THEY HAVE A SPECIAL THEY SEND YOU AN E-MAIL. IF YOU DO WANT TO USE IT, FOR EVERY 8 FLIGHTS, YOU GET A FREE ONE. BUT IT IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH A CREDIT CARD, SO NOTHING TO LOSE. JUST A THOUGHT.

GOOD LUCK!:thumbsup2

I just got an email from Air Tran and they have the $79 fairs again on non-stop flights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturdays. Other days are discounted but a little more expensive. At least from Dallas to Orlando. Since I don't know your flight dates or where you are flighing from, you may want to check to see if your flights are back down. Hope this helps!:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

WOW, THANKS....again:thumbsup2

I've been keeping track of Continental for a while now. $308/person RT, $238, $308 again, then $245, now back to $238 and thinking about going ahead and booking. I think the whole deal with mine is the flight there is not bad $109, but I am traveling back home on a Sunday which seems to be the most expensive day to fly :sad1: When I put in to check +or- 3 days then it shows some flights available for $218/person RT, but are dates are pretty much set.

Only 2 airlines do non-stop flights from my area and that is SW & Continental and right now they are both pricing out the same.

I found the same thing. Sunday was the most expensive day to travel, soooooooooooo I booked a room only at POP for 1 night for $82 + tax night in addition to our 7 day package at POP and we are flying in on Saturday and just hanging at the hotel, playing in the pools and getting plenty of rest to hit the parks bright and early Sunday morning. It gives us a full day at one of the parks on Sunday instead of a 1/2 day. It was cheaper to do that than to fly out on Sunday! :woohoo:
