A.C. Moores has thw 50/50 t-shirts on sale for $2 each can those be used...or should I get 100% cotton? Do I wash them first? I see there are two types of iron-ons if I am doing the the transfer onto the shirts. The shirts are going to pink and white, which would I use? On the pillow cases the designs go down the sides? I want to have a design on the left corner two. So I should buy cotton pillowcases, wash them, then iron one side let it cool and do the other?

How about ironing on canvas? I want to do one design on little canvas bags I have, but not sure it would take. What do you guys think?

anyone please? I am going out today to get some of the stuff and do not want to get anything I shouldn't Also is there any transfer paper you guys think is better than others? Pretty please?????

You shouldn't have any problems with 50/50 shirts. As far as transfers go, you need to look at the design you are using. Picture that all the white areas of the design will be pink (or whatever color you decide on) if you use a light transfer and if you choose a dark transfer - all white areas will be white! For the white shirts, you could use either one. I use dark transfers for everything. They do not need to be flipped and the colors seem much more vibrant and you don't have the shine you get with a light transfer. But that is just my personal preference.

Yes, you should always wash them first before doing the iron ons. This removes the sizing from the shirt and allows the iron on to stick properly.

For the pillowcases, if the designs are on the same side of the case you are fine - if you do one on one side and another on the other side - be sure to put something between the layers - like a wood cutting board or shelf.

I have done canvas bags before and although they do not come out as smooth as they would on a shirt - from a distance they are adorable. You can definitely see some lines or ribbing after you have ironed but as I said, from a small distance - they come out perfect.

I hope all this helps!

Thank you that is just what I needed.
