I picked up a Canon iX6800 earlier this year from
Amazon along with an Arthur Imaging 28 pack of compatible ink cartridges. I had several Epson WF all in ones, all great printers, but had problems with the nozzles clogging due to lack of use. I used more ink trying to clean the nozzles than actually printing, and finally the nozzles would not clear. The iX6800 is just a printer, no scanner, fax, copier. It had great reviews with the only complaint that it used a bit of ink, hence the 28 pack of compatible carts. I have used it to print 110LB card stock (print one sheet at a time). We used the adhesive magnet sheets rather than run the magnet sheets through the printer. Check the reviews on Amazon for the printer. You will also see references to the Arthur Imaging cartridges in the printer reviews.
When I gave up on the Epson WF all in one(s), I purchased a Brother MFC-L2750DW laser all in one thinking we really did not need color. Several months later we needed color... Arthur Imaging also has compatible toner cartridges for the Brother laser printer. The started toner cartridge finally ran out last week and was replaced with an Arthur Imaging one. Works and looks great.
We created magnets and pixie dust tags for our cruise with the iX6800.
edit - we printed the images on paper, then laminated the paper, put it on the adhesive magnet sheet, cut to desired size.
Good luck!
