Hi ,

I booked the pop century for our upcoming trip to disney. Pop only allows 4 people , we are a family of 5. I would like to get my youngest a magic band without having to book a more expensive resort. Any ideas how to get a 5th band?

Help!!!

If your youngest is under 3 then you will not be able to get a functional magic band. Kids under 3 stay, play, and dine for free off parent plate. Therefore- no ticket, no meal plan. I think your best bet, if you are wanting one so that child doesn't feel left out or just for fun would be to ask for a grey band when checking in. They may say no, but it is worth a try.

When I customized our magic bands it allowed me to choose one for my 2 year old. Did you not have a choice?

You do realize if you get caught breaking the occupancy rule you can be kicked out and lose any days left on your tickets and not get a refund, right?

Plus you already asked this twice, and another moderator already shut down one of the threads because you are asking how to break Disney rules.

How are you getting your 4 year old a ticket since they aren't on the reservation? Are you buying it separately?

If the youngest is 3 or older, you need to book a different room. If the child is not registered with the resort, not only will they not have a band, but they will not be able to participate in extra magic hours. Discussing ways around Disney policy is not allowed on this website.

If you chose to have 3 children then you have no choice but to pay for a more expensive resort, just as all larger families do. Exactly why do you think you are an exception and feel that it is o.k. to come here asking for others to help you at breaking the rules? :sad2:

Snark aside - we are a family of 5 and our under 3 was issued a band, but that's because we were up front with how many were in our party. A trip to Disney is a lot of work and financial planning and keeping our 5th under wraps to save money wasn't worth the gamble (actually it never crossed my mind). At this point it sounds like you're caught between a rock and a hard place and you may end up spending more money to cover up your lie than if you'd just been forth coming at booking.

Rooms with a max. occupancy of 4 are actually a max. of 4+a child under 3. You wouldn't have needed to keep your 5th "under wraps" anyway. You were abiding by the set rules, unlike OP. :goodvibes

Oh that's right! We were originally staying at a value and got a special offer in the mail to upgrade. Duh. How quickly I forget in my sleep deprived state. Thanks for the refresher. We've a couple more years to keep him "under wraps" :)
