How do you know whether you will get the new Magicbands or key to the world cards??? We will be there 22-30th of Sept. I'm confused!! Do we have to plan our fast passes before we get there? Thanks

At this stage they are still in pilot and Disney are contacting people directly before their trip. And it is only for guests of certain hotels. and the thread has people saying you won't see the option until within the 10 day online check in window. See link below.

This thread seems to be all about Sept bookings and by fluke I stumbled on their take on the list of hotels involved: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3148572&page=110 Are you staying at one of these? It may be appearing in your Disney login.

The only other thing I can think of is that Disney have notoriously not wanted to do things with international guests. e.g. I'm annual pass holder but they wont post me the magazine. I have found it rare that they both to contact me if tours and bookings needed to be changed.

All guests at Port Orleans Riverside checking in from Sep 3rd will have Magic Bands and use of FastPass+ in the next stage of testing.

They are gradually loading these guests into their system. If this is you, you will see the FastPass+ section in the My Reservations section of your MDE and be able to select FastPass+ options and times when selecting FastPass+ from the MDE menu.

You need to complete online check in to customise your magic band. This can now be done 60 days in advance.

All guests from anywhere are eligible, we just won't have our bands posted to us in Australia, they'll be waiting at the resort with everything else.

Thanks for the info. I'm on the MDE and its let me customise the bands without online check in, and also asking for shipping address. Do I put my address in? Or they won't ship it anyway??
Thanks again

I'd put your shipping address in just to get through all the steps but they'll just send it to the resort. How exciting!

I almost fell on the floor when Disney posted my Disneyland hotel reservation confirmation.

Are we meant to receive a confirmation from Disney when we book their hotels? Even if its not done through Disney website?

Sometimes they send them for room-only bookings but not all the time. So long as you have your confirmation number you'll be fine.

In 2011 I booked half the trip through a travel agent and disney sent the receipt to the agent, and I got an agent receipt.

I have once received a receipt in the post - 2012 I think it was. and I too fell off my chair! :lmao:

Usually every trip I turn up at reception and they tell me something has changed - my spa appointment was cancelled or the boat has broken down - and they say "didn't someone contact you??" - how hard is an email? Even one year when i was on Platinum Plan and they shut down the Living Seas scuba - AARRGGHHH - now I have gone to my UNLAUGHING place!! :badpc:

...so yeah.... if you are staying in one of those hotels who are testing in Sept it will be waiting for you at reception. AND from that thread it seems that you also get KTTW so I think you'll be fine.
