Help with magic bands and fast pass please

i know there are a lot of you that can help me. I've been researching this but am still a little confused.

We are doing one park day (either MK or Epcot) in February before our DCL cruise. We will be staying at a hotel by MCO due to late flights, getting to the port and best of all the rooms are free on points.

So we will be buying a one day pass. Do you still get the magic bands if you stay off site? Do you have to have magic bands to book fast passes? How far in advance can you reserve FP? There are two families going. How do we link them so we get the same times etc...?

Any tips or advice would be appreciated!

No; you won't need the bands. Your tickets will suffice.

No, link everyone's tickets to your MDE account.

How far in advance can you reserve FP?

30 days before your park day.

How do we link them so we get the same times etc...?

No need to link. Add everyone to one MDE account and link a ticket to each person.

Book FPs for the complete group all at the same time.
