Help with Lanyards

My husband and I have had a hard time finding lanyards. We thought at this point we would just get the DIS ones from here.(even though they are $7. ouch)
We are leaving for WDW two weeks from today. We were wondering if we would have them in time. Also, where did people get their lanyards?

They are all over WDW. I'm not sure of the cost. Locally you should be able to find them at any of the big chains like Target and office supply stores. If you have are doing a DreamMaker package you get a free lanyard when you check in. Or rather you get a certificate and you take it to the resort gift shop.

We really thought we were going to be able to find them at Target or Walmart etc.... Nope... not a one! I couldn't believe it!
I've been told that we should be able to get the DIS ones in time so I'm going to order them.

I got a black lanyard with Tinker Bell on it for around $7 at Hot Topic.
I also heard there were other Disney lanyards for sale at Claire's.

We got ours on the Magic. I would recommend buying the zip lock fishing license holders (we got ours at Wal-Mart). The ones that came with our lanyards were just open ended sleeves. The zip lock ones only cost a couple of dollars and they are easy to swap out!

If you are planning on just using the lanyard for pins, I found that the bottle-holding ones work great. They are about $3 in the park and can be used for dual purposes. I really liked those ones, and there are different ones sold for each park.

I purchased one for my son last night at Claire's. It's blue with Americal Flag stars. It was $2.50. They did have some Disney styles, but they were too girly for my DS7.

I cant stand the ones they sell in the park, but for pins, theyre good since they heavy and thick. I didnt like them because they were so heavy and the material is rough which irritated my neck. I got a nice one on Ebay awhile back-soft material, thinner, has the characters all over it, but its for water bottles (has a loop at the end to put around the neck of a bottle). If you have time, check out Ebay. I think I paid $3 for mine.

I bought mine at Walmart. They had plain black ones, ones with smiley faces and ones with frogs on them. I also bought the fishing license holders for, I think 68 cents each, to hold our passes & ID's. They had the lanyards hanging on the displays with the key chain holders in the jewelry department.
