Help with Jambo savannah view room request

We just switched our spring trip from Kidani to Jambo, in a savannah view Studio. We prefer nice views to being close to elevators/ lobby as we don't mind walking. What are the best room requests to make? Is there a savannah better than the others in this category? Thanks!

Sunset Savanna but at Jambo you will be on the 5th floor. A lower floor is usually a little better.

I had heard that. We will be at Kidani this fall, during the soft refurb. Being that it will still be going on in the spring 2017, we thought it might be a good time to try out Jambo, to switch it up.

Our request preference at Jambo is Arusha savanna view, along Zebra Trail, away from the lobby. We feel Arusha is the best savanna for viewing animals (although Sunset is also good), and the area we request is along the right side of the U-shaped building, which is the same side as the pool is on, and the rooms face west so you can see pleasant sunsets and avoid blinding sun pouring into the room in the morning.

Next Summer like end of May or early June Animal Kingdom won't be under refurbishment will it?

I have not seen a stated end date for the Kidani refurb. Based on the size of the building and number of rooms, it could take up to a year to do Kidani if they follow normal process and I believe Kidani started only recently (Jambo started first back in January or February and stated plan was to move on to Kidani after most of Jambo was done). The reason it can take so long is because they usually only do a limited portion at a time, finish it, and then start another area. That prevents the majority of guests from even noticing there is a refurb going on.

I would have stayed at Kidani and requested Sunset savannah.
