Help With Info On Renting

Hi I have read the stickys and believe this is the right board to ask about renting points??? If not I am very sorry and could someone please point me in the right direction .
Anyway we are planning our next hols and will be in Florida for 3 weeks in ***.
We already have some of our holiday booked but was just wondering how much it would cost to rent some points.
We are a family of four 2 daughters who will be 13 and 14 and hubbie and myself, we could have a ** but would prefer a *** would be nice but ovbiously price will be what will decide it for us.
We would be looking for **days and am not to bothered where we stay as we have only ever stayed at POR as we generally tend to rent a villa.
Saying that we love the * and we love * look nice I guess they all look great and we would love to see whether or not this could be an option for us.
Please could anyone help a very confused brit who is at home full of cold and feeling very sorry for herself who needs medicine give me the Dis boards any day of the week.

You need to go to the Rent/Trade Board...
Make a new thread....

Reservation Wanted...

Then post a small decription like you did here.
How many people... What resorts you might like...

Point are generally running about $10 each
You can click on the points chart above to figure out how many points you will need...

Carol I am sorry, after reading the sticky posts I thought I had posted my question on the right board and was certainly only asking for some advice as the whole things bamboozles me.
I tried to do the right thing and perhaps have misunderstood Perhaps I better stick to staying in a villa.

Thanks for all your info, i put my hyper sensativity down to feeling unwell Thankyou all for being so kind and helpful perhaps we will hold on that villa until I find out a little more about dvc renting.

If you click on the link at the top of the page for "DVC Points Charts," that will give you the points costs for 2009. There have been some minor rearrangements of 2010 points and I don't believe those are reflected yet, so if your vacation is in 2010 you may have to get the owner you rent from to check them.

Points have been renting for $10-12 for quite a while now, although you will see some offers lower. In some cases those low-priced points may be fine for your needs; in other cases, they may not be available when you are vacationing. If there is any limitation on points offered for rent, hopefully the owner has disclosed that in their post.

You are certainly welcome to come back here and ask questions -- you just can't put specific info like Carol described in your post in a way that it's misunderstood as advertising for a reservation.
