Help with how to book FP with 3 adults, 2 little kids please

Hi, and thank you in advance for assistance.

I don't understand how I should book our FP for our upcoming trip. I just can't wrap my head around concept and sure would appreciate so help from the board.

Here is a typical MK day for us...

Kids are 5 years old & only want to do the various M&G around park, IASW, and PP. Me (mom) is perfectly fine with this schedule. I am not a ride person at all.

Hubby and his brother want to ride Space Mt, Big Thunder Mt, and Splash Mt.

But Hubby and Brother also want to go with kids & Mom to M&G, IASW, and PP as they want to experience those as a family too.

How would I book our initial 3 FP for each person?

I am assuming that I would book FP for all of us for the same M&G, IASW, and PP to guarantee that we are all together. Then the Hubby/Brother do stand by lines or single rider lines for roller coasters.

I am assuming that since neither child wants to ride a roller coaster that we cannot use Child Swap option, right?

I would ride Pooh, the carousel, anything else the kids want to do for the first hour or so (depends on the speed of your guys) after park opening while guys got their adrenaline fix on those rides. Then, yes; all together for the family stuff.
Back when we used parent swap: you'd watch kids while DH rides with brother then one of them watches kids while you ride with one of them. You ALL must approach the CM together to arrange who watches kids first to get parent swap pass while others ride. I think if you're available to watch the kids then parent swap doesn't do you any good. Now if you're at the spa while the guys swap the kids... hmmmm, now that I typed that - that sounds like a plan!
