Help with hotel!

Okay it is almost time for me to book our trip for next October.
I want to stay off-site, but within walking distance. I need help picking a hotel. I thought of the Tropicana and Park Inn. But since I requested a brochure 2 weeks ago and still don't have it, they are out of the ?? But now where do I stay. We don't need anything fancy. Just nice and clean.

I stayed at the Desert Inn and Suites in October and felt we got a great deal. They do raise their prices for holidays and major conventions. We went a non holiday week in Oct.

We had a parlor suite (suite A) for 69.00 in the off season. It has a living room area w/ an entertainment center that had the TV, Micro, Fridge, 2 drawers, coffee table and a pull out couch (full/queen sized). Then a door that led to the bedroom. 2 queen beds, end table between, standing clothes closet w/ ironing board and iron, desk w/ tv on top, 4 drawers, phone and writing area. Sink area was outside the bathroom area and had the blowdryer and coffee pot. The bathroom had a tub/shower and was nice sized. It also has an indoor pool and hot tub, which we didn't use so I can't comment on them.

The walk is less than 5 minutes and very safe. The hotel is just a few steps down from the cross walk. There was a security gaurd in the parking lot after dark.

The breakfast wasn't much. Danish, 1 kind of fruit, bread and jelly for toast, coffee, decaf, milk, orange juice, tea. I liked having the milk for my girls and brought oatmeal from home and the girls had that in the room.
