Can all you creative folks give me some good ideas for making our own autograph books? This will be my kids' very first trip to WDW (DD5 & DS9), so I want to come up with something nice. I do scrapbooking anyway, so I figured I'd get some good ideas from fellow scrappers!

78 days--can't WAIT!

What I did was alter a small clipboard from Walmart and cut out a bunch of 4x3 tags and I add to my book after we get back. I have 4 kids though and lugging 4 books would be tough. For pens I bought the retractable Sharpies in different colors.
Everyone has different ideas though, some use a 7x7 Creative Memories book, and decorate both pages for specific characters and just have the characters sign one page. Others brought loose pages with them.

Here are a few pics of my book. Oh and I only had 3 kids at the time these were taken. They are from 2 trips the thinner paper is from the WDW autograph books and the others are from tags I made.

Hey Buffy, have you ever put the pictures in of the kids???

I so have to start working on ours for our Oct. trip!!! ;) I have so many ideas but right now my kids won't behave.. they sense me going to scrap and the fighting begins! Mommy had a meltdown today..and I so am not looking forward to family pictures if they misbehave!

Oh, and to just try to do something for myself today.. I lightened my hair! Did anyway say a thing? NOPE not one person.. not even DH! I guess it is defintiely a subtle change!

Nope they aren't in there yet! LOL
Those were the days of 35mm so I only have 1 set. I guess I really should get some more copies huh?

Here are some of my homemade album pages I made prior to going on our Disney Cruise/World trip. I just took the tags with us for the characteres to sign and then all I had to do when I got home was to put the tag in the proper slot and paste a pic to the page.

There are some great ideas on this yahoo group. you have to join before you can view the files but it's a really cool group - the best of both worlds disney and scrapping! Disney Scrappers Yahoo Group Look under files for autograph book ideas.

I think what I am going to do this year is make tags for each autograph and put them on an big O-ring. Then when we get home we can assemble the pages with pictures and tags. I think that will be easier than taking three or four seperate albums.

Will post pics later of last years autograph book.

Hi
This trip in August are my three kids' first time. I wanted to do an autograph book with their pic on one side and autograph on the other (each do their own one) I was thinking of doing the same thing with the O Ring too but here is my question: If I put tags or square paper on an o-ring, what do you use as the front and back to the book? I just want it to be protected and not ripped or get wet. (I am fairly new to the scrapbooking arena!)
Thanks!

I always store my tags in a ziploc bag and then have an empty one in the room for the tags that get signed.
As for the front and back mine are store bought but all it is is chipboard, the heavy cardboard you will find on the backs of notepads. I covered it with paper and decorated them.

Thanks for the great ideas! I like the idea of the tags so they'll go in the scrapbook--but I may end up using the autograph books. The kids are already deciding how they'll decorate theirs!!
