Help with handling the heat!

Early morning is best to try to get the bulk of your rides done as the temps are cooler (think 70's to 80's).
Icy lemonade is awesome to help cool off with, and surprisingly affordable compared to other snacks at DL.
Think of riding the cooler inside rides like its a small world and maybe seeing the frozen show in DCA.

It was sooo hot today -- 100-104 degrees. I wore a little straw hat to keep the sun off my head, and drank a lot of water. It was so hot that the ice cold water bottle was warm water in my little backpack after an hour or so. The hat and water helped a lot, and the a/c in the attractions helped a lot. Be sure to duck in those, and ride the longer ones (Small World, etc.), and rest in the shade/see a show during the hottest hours.

When we finished eating lunch at the Jazz Kitchen they gave us cups of ice water to go. That was a welcome touch.

It was sooooo hot today!! We ended up splurging on the water bottle/fan thing in the park!! We are all exhausted... we wanted to stay till the park closed but just couldn't make it. Tomorrow we won't be in the parks so long in the morning since we are going to the Halloween party and will be staying till close for sure.

What we do is pack a backpack (I'm the mule) with bottles of water and a Takeya 40 oz thermos. Fill it with ice from your room and refill the water all day (the ice will last all day in that container). Stay hydrated.
