My husband and I are take our kids, grandkids, parents, sibling and their children to Disney World November 22-26 for our 25th anniversary celebration. I made my room reservation with one person and was passed off to another person for all other plans. I have been working with the Convention Sevices Mangager. At least that is how he signs his e-mails. I thought that I was working with Grand Gathering.
I needed help with three things. They are reservations for a Thanksgiving meal, a Character meal and a Vip Viewing/Dessert Party for my 25th anniversary party. I had to make the restaurant reservation myself. I was told that restaurant reservation was not something that he helped with. I was then told that the person in charge of EPCOT has decided that the VIP viewing areas will not be available for private parties during Thanksgiving week but that he would come up with something else and get back to me. I received that information on August 30 and I have not heard anything else.
I spoke with a manager in Grand Gatherings today and she was very nice.
She told me that she was sorry about my experience but that there was nothing she could do to help me.
This is not what I expected when I contacted Disney World. I wanted this trip to be magical. Now I just don't know what to do. Am I crazy to have expected more? Does anyone have any suggestions? HELP!
