Any of you out there that stayed at the Grand Floridian last spring on an AP rate ? I am trying figure out what kind of AP discount is usually offered after the Easter break when regular season starts. I am looking in particular for the rates on Lagoon view rooms. I know this is all a maybe but the last few years AP rates have been offered each year right after peak season and when regular season starts. We are planning a long (18 nights!!)trip for 2004 and trying to have a savings plan based on some realistic discounts being offered. I am going to book our rooms as soon as AAA rates come out next summer and then hope for the best. All of the rates I have seen from last year were for Garden views. Thanks everyone in advance!!

I believe last year that the AP rates were ~$308 + tax for Lagoon View during regular season. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong...

Thanks Brian,I appreciate the info. Did you stay there last year ? I just got back from a couple of quick trips this fall and really spent an afternoon checking out the entire resort. My DH loved it and wants to stay there sometime!!For him to even show an interest was shocking, I usually go to the World with a best friend!!Anyways I saw your post on the GF thread asking about the GV vs Lagoon views. The views look very special from just about all rooms because the resort grounds are beautiful but for me we are going for the lagoon view to take in all the surrounding MK area. We always stay at the Boardwalk so we want to "know" where we are. Thanks again.
