Help with GAD vouchers + DVC discount on AP's

Hello everyone!

I'm hoping someone has BTDT and can help me!

My husband and I have GAD vouchers. We are planning on getting AP's using our DVC discount, but are unsure of the "best" way to go.

Can we use our GAD vouchers for one day admission, then upgrade to AP's but still get our DVC discount? In this case, how much would our AP's cost?

Not sure if the best way to go is the above scenario or if we should just plan on getting the GAD Fast Pass option.

I'm guessing there's a sticky for this, so briefy, yes you can apply your GAD voucher to the cost of our DVC priced AP. My husband did this in April. We were just renewing his AP and went to the international gateway GR location. We gave the CM his voucher, his AP, our blue card, cc, dl. The cost was the DVC renewal price minus the value of the voucher ($80ish), so the cost of the renewal was under $300. It was not a problem. By now the CMs generally know what to do. I did read that if you are upgraded a ticket, then the voucher needs to be exchanged for a one day ticket and it has to be used, and then upgraded. I'm thinking the only reason we didn't have to do this was because the voucher, all ID, and my DH's current AP all had his name on it, so no problem knowing he was the owner of the voucher.

We did this two weeks ago. We went to the Will Call window at MK. It is to the right of the entrance gates. We told them we wanted an AP and had a GAD voucher and DVC membership. They asked for the GAD voucher, the blue DVC member card and a photo ID (we used our driver's license). It took just a few minutes and we had our AP's. The final cost for a non-FL resident AP with the voucher and discount ended up being $330.15. Once we had our AP's, we then purchased an annual TIW card with the DVC discount for $75.
