Help with four night planning

We switched from a Cat 3 to two Cat 5's with the Florida resident rates and saved $2000. But now I have to worry about reservations, planning, etc.
Can anyone tell me if it is impossible to get brunch reservations on the day of sailing. I was thinking that with only one day at sea they must fill up with suite passengers, etc before we even set sail. Any stratagies would be greatly appreciated. Is there anything else I need to rush around for? Spa, kids, etc?? Are there REAS packages for 4 night cruise? Thanks!

I could be wrong but I thought the brunch is only available on the 7 day cruises...?

As far as other ressies go, get what you can the moment you step on the ship...make the most important your first stop...

We did the four night this past March and there wasn't any problem getting reservations for the brunch on the day at sea. In fact, we had dinner at Palo the night before and our server asked us if we wanted to have him make reservations for us. We thanked him and then let him know that we already had a reservation. This was our fourth DC and we've never had a problem getting Palo reservations. Hope that helps.

We cruised April 18, 2004. We had Brunch on the Sea Day and had no prolbems making the ressie that morning. If you board the Wonder early, I would enjoy lunch and not worry about making ressies. We ate lunch, sat back and enjoyed the moment, then we split up and make our ressies. IMO, I would make the spa and Palo Dinner ressie first (times will get filled), then go to the kid's clubs. The clubs take about 15 to 30 minutes. The spa and Palo was less then 5 minutes (including standing in line!!).

We did brunch on the 5/23 Wonder and it was *maybe* 2/3rds full. I got in line around 1:30 and was the first one to make a brunch reservation so you'll likely not have a problem getting in.

There's no reason to rush to do the kids registration- they're guaranteed a spot in the clubs so you can do that at any time during the afternoon (excluding 30 min or so for the lifeboat drill).

Brunch didn't fill in Feburary either.

It isn't well known and for those that do know, not necessarily terribly popular.

Am I reading the above comments right? Do you have to make reservations to bring your kids to the Oceaneers Club? Or can you just drop them off?

Ressie's are not needed for the Oceaneer's Club. You do have to sign your child/children up before you are able to drop them off. It goes pretty quickly - they just want to know things like who can pick them up, can they sign themselves out etc. The parents will get a pager too.

After they have your children have been officially signed up - you may drop them off any time the club is open - with the exception of the transition times (i.e. when they are moving the kids from one area of the ship to another area.)

Thanks clh2. I have another question about the oceaneer's club. Can the kids ever eat dinner or lunch in there? I mean if we decide we want to have dinner alone one night, is that possible? Or, do we have to pay extra for that?

The club takes the kids to lunch and dinner -- it's on the kids navigator when they take them. Beach Blanket has a kids buffet and that's where they go. On our last 4 night in March, my 12 yo DS never ate with us -- he was always with the clubs. I think Dave's site DCLtribute.com has sample navigators for you to see. Check those out if you can.
