I've never flown anywhere before, but I want to book a surprise Star Wars Weekend Getaway for my DH and DS, Southwest has a $69 each way sale right now, if I book this could they end up having a ding sale on this flight? This internet sale price ends tonight, should I just book it...or will better prices still come?

book it you can always cancel it if a ding comes but do it one way

Do you mean book the flight there? and leave the return flight time as a suprise? lol

Book it now... unlike other airlines, with Southwest, you can re-book later on if a lower fare or Ding fare gets released.

The other poster recommended booked each trip as a one way, rather than one booking of a round trip. That makes it easier to rebook for a lower fare. By easier, it just means it saves you 5 mins of calling SWA and having an agent split and cancel the res for you, which is what I do. SWA has great customer service... rarely if ever a hold time, and no computer menus. Just a real live person (who speaks English!) right away, everytime.

I always thought SW books everything one way. Even if you book as round trip, they consider it two one-way trips. I've booked round trip before and been able to change or cancel just one leg of the trip when the price changes, without having to call.

Either way, that is a pretty good price and I would go ahead and book it. You can always change it later if the price goes down and they will put the difference into a SW credit for you to use at another time. But if you don't book you run the risk of the price going up and then you will regret it.

:rotfl: not sure what you usually pay in your area, but $122+ is the current one way for PIT (come on SW!!!!).

good luck, see you @ SW weekends:thumbsup2 what a :cool1: surprise.
