I'm not sure I can even explain this properly. But, I'm so confused I'm hoping someone here can help me. My 5-year-old Kenmore refridgerator started leaking from the bottom. So I call Sears to schedule a repair. It's going to cost me $60 for the guy to come look at it and determine what's wrong with it. Then he may be able to fix it then or come back later with a part. Who knows what that's going to cost. Could be $50 could be $500.
Our other option is to buy another one-year warranty that "covers $500" (Sears' guy's words). This would cost us $219. If we end up needing to buy another fridge rather than fixing it, we can put that $500 towards a new one. So I ask him, "If the repair costs say $700, we then pay another $200. He says "no no no you're covered, unless you need to buy a new fridge".
I guess I'm just not trusting that we'll only end up paying $219. Has anyone dealt with a similar problem before?
