Help with Express Pass Plus

We are going to Islands of Adventure on Sunday, May 28th, Universal on the 29th (Memorial Day) and then split our time between both parks on the 30th. We are on a very limited budget but really want to make this a special trip for our kids (ages 8 and 13). We splurged and bought the Express Pass for Memorial Day at Universal. After reading different posts at this site, I am now scared that our other two days will be miserable due to crowds. Should we splurge and buy the Express Pass on Sunday too for IOA? We are using hotel points so staying on site is not an option for us.

I usually check the express pass prices which helps me determine the projected crowd level. On all the dates you are there the price for one park is $35 per person. That indicates that they are expecting to be quite busy. Also the fact that the park hours are extended until 9:00 PM on the 28th also points to higher crowds, at least on that day.

You can always buy them once you get there. Arrive early and hit the major rides first. If it is crowded buy them at the park before noon.
