Help with exchanging rental car mid trip

Someone is renting a car for my family for a portion of our trip and then we would like to rent our own car for the remainder of our vacation. I was wondering how time consuming at the airport this might be if I return the first car to National and then rent a new one with Alamo, since I found a great rate. I looked at just exchanging at the Disney Car Care Center with National, but the rates were too high.

The desks at the airport are close to (or next to) each other. The car area for both in the garage is in the same area too. Other than the ride to the airport, turning in the car, and getting another with new paperwork it's not a hassle at all, BUT be aware that Alamo frequently has long check in lines at the airport counter since it's the "official" car rental included in lots of travel packages. Line just depends on how many flights have recently landed.
