My parents will arrive at the Beach Club Villas before us. The other 6 of us will arrive at MCO at 8:50 pm and then arrive via ********. So I am thinking 10 or 10:30 pm. Our flight leaves at 6:50 from Louisville and we will all be coming from school/work so I bet we will be hungry! Our idea is to have my parents walk to one of the surrounding hotels and get us some take out. Anyone have any ideas or experiences? Or know how late some of these places are open?

Our ideas so far are: Boardwalk pizza window or the coney dog/etc window
ESPN for carryout???
All go over to Tubby's Buffeteria at Dolphin(I hear they are open really late) - What kind of food do they have? ( I checked deb's site but couldn't find anything for late)

Really don't want room service at Beach Club or Beaches & Cream(carryout menu is realy limited).

Any ideas? I would like to have our food picked out and my parents walk over and pick it out or I guess we could all just walk over and enjoy the boarwalk that late, I am sure the kids would be pumped by that time?

An answer and a comment.

Tubbi's is probably your best bet. It will be well after 10:00 by the time you arrive and get into the room. My bet is that you'll all be tired and hungry, and even though you'll be at WDW, IMHO you're better of fnot pushing it the first night and just eating and then getting some sleep so you can start fresh the next am. That's just my opinion.

That' said, I think I'd pack sandwiches and snacks which can be eaten on the plane. Full bellies are happy bellies, especially where kids are concerned. That way when you arrive at WDW you can relax and settle in, rather than having an immediate need to find food. :)

I would ask the others in your group to stop at a supermarket before you arrive and maybe you can eat in your room. If you are staying at the villas you will either have a kitchen or a mini with a microwave and fridge. Spaghetti with sauce & bread is easy and so are cold cuts....OR how about having pizza delivered to your room. there must be a Dominoes somewhere around there! Just a suggestion...I know I would be tired after a long trip and ready to eat!:D

That said, my last trip to WDW we stayed at the BWV's (MAY 2003) and there wasn't a whole heck of a lot to eat at night(that was quick). My parent's had the pizza a Boardwalk Pizza and they really didn't like it. It may be cold by the time you get to it. I think there are hot dogs somewhere too but I can't remember where!

I would suggest eating in your room and strolling over to the Boardwalk for icecream. It is TDF!!!!

Good Luck with whatever you decide and have fun!!!

I think I'd side with the folks suggesting eating either on the plane or perhaps picking something up at the airport that you can take back to your room. Arriving that late, after a full day of work/school/travel, it would probably be best to be fed by the time you arrive and just catch up with your family and crash early for the busy, fun, exciting days ahead! Of course, that said, I also understand how tough that is to do... I mean, heck, you just arrived at Disney! You're on vacation! How the heck are you supposed to sleep??? With that in mind, maybe a quick jump over to The Boardwalk wouldn't be a bad idea. A quick slice of pizza or some other fast & filling treat, and then head back for a good night's sleep.
