Trying to learn as much as possible about applying for DAS at Epcot - it will be our first time. This seems very overwhelming during these times. We had planned on doing this for our Disneyland trip in April, but that got cancelled, but I had a nice map of all the "blue umbrella" locations throughout the parks there. Does this kind of map exist for Epcot?

I am clear on the initial process of meeting with Guest Services, along with my son, but I am not very clear on how to then navigate the parks using the system. I will read the sticky, but am more curious about how it's working right now, and what to expect in terms of how long the wait is each time I have to find a kiosks/guest service location to put in for the next DAS pass. Hope that all makes sense.

Thank you!

You don’t have to get a return time for a ride at Guest Services. They might be able to give you one, but you can also just visit the front of the line for the ride. There is usually a CM standing there that does this. You won’t really have to wait in line for that. With social distancing the lines are so long I did feel a little awkward going up to the beginning of the queue, because lines were often stretching past the entrance. I was worried people would think I was cutting or something when I was really just trying to find the CM. No one ever was rude and I’m sure it was just my anxiety. I’m a worrier, but it’s simple and easy.

For Disney world you go to the rides to get a return time. If the blue umbrella are still there you can try at one of them. I have a list of where they were pre COVID in my signature

Can't speak for Epcot, but the blue umbrellas are no more at MK. The blue-shirted cast members who used to be stationed at them now wander around the park, and the chances of stumbling across one when you need one to set up a DAS are slim. Best bet is to go to the ride you're interested in as fancymouse suggested.

Since the attraction lines are so long, there now have a sign in front of where to get the return time. And things change from visit to visit. A couple weeks ago, we got a Frozen return time outside of Akurshus. Then last week it was set up over by the stores. The signs are big, they are on the ground.

I find it easier to look for the cm with an iPad than finding those signs.

It is super easy. If you can't find where to get a return time for a specific ride, just ask any cast member in the area. It is working the same as it ever did. Just go to the ride that you want a return time for and they will help you. Nothing to stress over. Enjoy your trip.

Just wanting to clarify something for anyone looking for DAS information for DLR, there are no "blue umbrellas" there. The umbrellas are green for the regular Information Kiosks. The main kiosk in DL on Main Street (by Plaza Inn) has a burgundy colored umbrella. The main kiosk in DCA, located at Carthay Circle, across from the Carthay Circle Restaurant and from the fountain, has a brown awning. The exception to the green umbrellas is the kiosk at Pixar Pier -- that umbrella looks like the blue and yellow Pixar ball.

It was really easy. You basically look for a person holding an iPad. They are usually out to the side and some were at the Fast Pass area (7DMT). We felt the whole thing was quick and efficient.

Guest Services at the international entrance at Epcot isn’t located inside the park. We went when we go there our first day to get the DAS for our son. Saved time during our first day at the parks.
