Help with EP and deluxe room.

We are visiting March 1 - 4. Staying at Cabana Bay for 5 nights (2/29 - 3/5). I also booked a room at RPR for the night of March 3 for potential EP. Couple of questions:
1) Can I go to RPR the morning of March 3 and use EP that day?
2) Can I also use the EP on March 4 as well?
3) Any thoughts on this time of year and whether or not we will need the EP? Planning to do EE on 3/1 and 3/2.

I have until 2/27 to cancel the RPR room (which is $230 with AP discount).

Yes. You can use express the entire day of check in and check out. Crowds should be pretty low during that time. There are no school vacations yet.

How many days are you going to the parks...three? I don't really see a need to spend money on an unused room, but if you do that, you will definitely get EP for the day of check in and check out. You would all need to go to RPR for check in to get your room keys and then go to the kiosk in the lobby to print out your EP (with each familiy member's photo) on them. Then you can use them the next day as well...no need to stop by RPR, if you set up the check out for express check out.
