Help with Ebay Sale

Sold item on ebay but buyer is Moldavia. My listing clearly states under shipping ships to just United States. He hasnt paid me yet do I just send him an email explaining I am not paying to ship international and do not want to fill out customs paper work? Do I need to let ebay know or just move on to 2nd chance offer option?

Make a second chance offer. As far as the other buyer it would depend on whether or not you want to recoup your final value fees. You could just leave it alone and file a non paying bidder after a few days. Or you could just open a cancel the transaction case and have the reason be that the buyer is in a area where you do not ship.

And be sure to change your future auctions to 'US only' (there is a checkbox for it).

Thanks for the help. I went to ebay and did 2nd chance and canceled transaction. The weird thing is that the shipping was checked for US only and the buyer had a great feed back rating so I am not sure if he just did not read carefully or what. Hope second chance person wants it

Often times international buyers will have a US shipping address. If they have good feedback, then they're pretty trustworthy. You should contact him first before making a move.

You also don't need to fill out custom forms, you can print international labels from Ebay, which has it all. All you do is sign and date the bottom of it.

If the buyer does pay today and he has a us address you can always end the second chance offer providing they don't buy it

There's an option under account settings (can't remember exactly where--maybe buyer requirements?) where you can actually block bidders from countries that you don't ship to. I personally think it's silly that they're not blocked automatically if you don't include international shipping, but eBay doesn't listen to me.

I live outside of the U.S. most of the time and often have items shipped to a family member for when I am in the U.S. Some international buyers also hire a service that provides them with a U.S. mailing address and then forward them their mail. I'd send an invoice with a reminder about a timely payment and that you ship to U.S. addresses only and go from there. If the item was bought by mistake without realizing the limitation, it's not to difficult to cancel the transaction if you both agree to it.
