I got the idea for saving for my Disney trip on this board and I think you all so much. I have made about $150.00 since Jan. and i am thrilled! But now I have run into my first glitch.

I sold something (shoes) and noted that I ship to the US only. The buyer is from Sweden and has only 1 feedback rating and it is negative. I emailed and said that I only ship to the US, as noted on the auction. Do I wait and hear from this person and then contact the next highest bidder? I am not sure what I should do next.

Thanks for your help.

I'd go ahead and do the second chance offer or relist. I doubt this person is going to come through for you somehow. good luck!

Go to the next highest bidder. "Sweden" should have looked closer.

To save you from future problems- go into my ebay> ebay preferences> seller preferences- then you can block bids from buyers from countries you don't ship to.
Hope this helps
you can also block buyers with negative of -1 (which this buyer had) Good luck.

Record this item as a disputed item so that you can get credit for the final value fee. (This has happened to me.) I marked it as an agreement between the 2 parties not to complete. You have to go back & close the dispute (in 7 or 10 days - can't remember) to actually get the credit.

Thank you all SO much. How do I dispute this? I couldn't seem to figure out how. Do you mind telling me? And thanks for the tip on blocking people, that wil help alot. Right now all the options I have are send invoice, mark shipped, etc.

Sign into "my ebay", on the left side of the page under "related links", click on "unpaid item disputes", follow the steps.

You have a choice of what to do.

1. Re-list the item or offer it to another bidder as a second chance immediately. Because the high bidder did not qualify, you are not obligated to complete the sale to him/her. You will not get a refund of the final value fee.

2. Start a dispute, with the intention of getting a "mutual agreement not to complete the sale". You must allow time for this to take place. Then you will get your final value fee refunded.

3. Give the buyer a chance to complete the purchase. You may restrict payment to cash, certified check or money order even if your listing allowed other means such as Paypal. You may restrict delivery to a U.S. address. If the buyer does not complete the purchase you are eligible for a refund of the final value fee.
