Hello I was wondering if someone could tell me what documentation you get from Disney once you have booked your cruise. The reason I'm asking is because my BIL booked our whole family for the cruise. He lives West coast we are East and all documents are going to him. He told me he would bring our documents when we get to the Port. We are going on the 7 day Western leaving 8/30 and it is our first cruise so I'm wondering what we are missing out on. Thanks so much!!

GoofyDisneyMom tell your BIL to FedEX those puppies out to you ASAP because there is nothing more exciting than having your cruise docs in your hands!!!

Just kidding - well, sorta.....

First, your docs come in a really cool cardboard 'pouch' made to look like an old steamer trunk. Next is all your paperwork which includes:

1. Information on Immigration Documentation requirements (i.e. passport, birth certificate, etc)

2. A booklet that explains travel protection

3. A booklet that lists the gifts you can order to have delivered to your stateroom for you arrival

4. The 'Passport to Magic' booklet that talks about all sorts of things including; customs allowance, gratuities, onboard shopping, etc.

5. Pamphlet on how to rent a tux (for the 7-night cruises)

6. And most important, your actual cruise documents booklet that includes; your physical 'tickets' or 'boarding pass' for checking in at the terminal, your luggage tags, important information (i.e. ID requirements etc.), payment authorization form for the credit card you want to use for onboard credits and a whole bunch of 'legal' stuff.

Your packet may or may not include customs forms and info as these may be provided on the ship during your cruise.

You may also find other 'advertising' in here as well - like applying for the Disney Visa Card, etc.

To put your mind at ease all of the forms can be filled out in a matter of minutes while you are waiting to check in at the terminal. The only thing I would be concerned about would be the luggage tags as these are needed if you booked Disney transfers or air with your cruise.

I hope you find this info useful.

GoofyDisneymom:

Yes have your BIL fedex those. It is great just having it in your hands. Also, yes you can fill the papers out at the terminal. It is nice to have them filled out prior. So that you can look around the terminal and enjoy your surroundings, without having to hurry.
