Hi everyone,
New here and (overwhelmed) planning a trip in August.Need some help! It's been a long time since my husband and I have been to Disney. This will be the kids' first time.
Been trying to decide whether to go with CS only for meals or the standard dining plan. Dates are 7/31-8/5. 4 adults, (parents & grandparents) 3 kids ages 3,6,9. Here is what I have been thinking if i went with the standard dining.

7/31 MK
lunch: CS (either at hotel or in MK)
dinner: HDD show

8/1 MK
lunch: BOG CS
Dinner: House of Blues @ Disney Springs (or any other suggestions?)

8/2 Epcot
lunch:CS liberty Inn or electric umbrella
Dinner: Tutto

8/3 HS
lunch: CS pizzerizzo
dinner: Sci Fi Diner or Garden Grill @ Epcot

8/4 MK
lunch: CS @ hotel
dinner: Cape May Buffet

8/5 departure day possibly MK in morning

Is the table service worth the money if I am trying to do a dinner show? That would take away 2 TS credits, correct? I originally had planned for breakfast in the room with the exception of Wed. (have ADR at Akerhaus paying OOP) and CS for lunch and dinner, but my husband feels it may be better to do TS for dinners as there is more of a variety with the menus. I don't have any other ADR for anything else yet. I am planning on taking pool breaks back at the hotel most afternoons so I am not too concerned with lunch food for the days we are in MK- either we eat in the park or back at the hotel.
Any suggestions would be welcomed!
Thank you!

I personally say go for the dining plan - when its really hot out its nice to sit down and relax in an A/C restaurant and enjoy a meal. :)

1. Yes HDDR will be 2 table credits.
2. Love Raglan Road (although a bit loud) or Rainforest Cafe
3. SciFi is fun for dinner
4. I personally wouldn't leave MK for Cape May Buffet. maybe have BOG dinner instead and enjoy MK for the day/fireworks.

I enjoy the dining plan, but I also like to eat. I also always enjoyed relaxing in the AC after a hot day at the park, like PP suggested.

If you do HDDR and use two credits for it, I would probably skip House of Blues and instead do CS in Disney Springs for dinner--Earl of Sandwich is a favorite of mine, and then you could get ice cream from Ghirardelli. :)

I agree also that doing Cape May after MK may be difficult unless you're staying near there. It'll be a lot of traveling otherwise.

We love HDD. However, what time are you arriving that day? You may not have much time in MK.

8/1 MK
lunch: BOG CS
Dinner: House of Blues @ Disney Springs (or any other suggestions?) I wouldn't leave MK to have dinner at DS. Travel time takes a lot of time from enjoying MK. I would do another CS for dinner, and use the credit for Akershus if you don't like the other TS options at MK.

8/2 Epcot
lunch:CS liberty Inn or electric umbrella I would pick Tangerine café for lunch. Or the QS in Mexico.
Dinner: Tutto Is the menu good for the kids here? Check to be sure

8/3 HS
lunch: CS pizzerizzo
dinner: Sci Fi Diner or Garden Grill @ Epcot I would stay at HS for Fantasmic. Best show on property, I think. You can use the DDP for a Fantasmic package at Hollywood and Vine, if you were interested in that (kids would love the characters, I think). Sci Fi is great choice also.

8/4 MK
lunch: CS @ hotel
dinner: Cape May Buffet Are you staying at Beach club? If not, I don't think it's worth traveling there just for that. You could do Crystal Palace at MK instead, which is very good.

Akershus is probably your most expensive meal, and that should be paid with the DDP, and OOP for something else.

Thank you!
