OK, so we get SIX free sit down meals with our dining plan:

My definite list is: 'Ohana dinner, 1900 Park Fare dinner, Cape May Cafe breakfast, Akershus breakfast

Maybe list-Crystal Palace dinner, 50's Primetime Cafe dinner, 'Ohana breakfast, 1900 Park Fare breakfast, Cape May Cafe dinner, Biergarten dinner, Tutto Italia dinner, Boma dinner, Hollywood & Vine lunch

I can take no more than 4 from my maybe list and put on my definite list! Dining with 3 children, ages 5, 3, 1!!!!

Helppp!! I wish I could do them all :(

You already have a few buffets, and while I get the whole character interaction with small children, they can be draining for the parents who have to frequently get up and down to go to the buffet lines. With all the choices available, I don't think there's any benefit to doing the same restaurant twice.

So with that in mind, here's what I would pick:
-50s PTC. We love the food and its a really fun place
-Tutto Italia dinner. Only because it was the only a la carte choice you gave for Epcot. Personally, I would have picked the Garden Grille: it's family style and you still have characters.
-Of your remaining choices (all buffets) I'd pick Boma. The food is great, and it gives you the chance to explore the public areas of AKL before and after dinner.

When it comes to meals at Disney, I always put my daughter's enjoyment before everything else (and truthfully, I enjoy these places, too). So here is what I would choose:

  1. 'Ohana breakfast for Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, Pluto, and the food! Without a doubt, I love this one!
  2. Crystal Palace dinner for Pooh & Friends (although, we have only done breakfast here--it is wonderful!)
  3. Biergarten dinner (haven't been...but I have heard good things about the food and entertainment for young ones, so it is on our ADR list for this month!)
  4. Cape May Cafe dinner (okay, I am putting myself first with this one, but I love seafood so much that I can't help it!)

Edited to add: I agree with the PP. Buffets can be tiring for those with little ones, when you have to get up and down so much. However, with a one year old, the buffets and family style restaurants are also NICE, because you can feed the one year old anything without a charge. 'Ohana breakfast is family style (so no getting up and down). I think Garden Grill in Epcot is a great choice, too, because it is family style with characters!

Looking at your family make-up and our favorites, I would go with:

Biergarten - very fun, festive atmosphere, the kids would get a kick out of the musical program, and we think the food is delicious!

Boma - great, fun, and adventurous food options with a 'safe-station' that has chix fingers and such, good service with loads of choices!

50's Prime Time - I still vividly remember dining here as a kid, and it was a riot! I am sure your kids would get a kick out of it too! It's also a very different options from the others.

I didn't even realize they are mostly buffet choices...I was going to book Garden Grill, it was the best dinner my aunt had while in Disney...but I really think my husband might get "seasick" from it!!

I am also nervous about Biergarten--I hear such great reviews, but is the food "different" like Boma? My husband LOVES meat, but I've never heard of some of the German dishes that are offered, I'm afraid my family won't find something that they like. But my kids LOVE to dance!

How exciting. Your trip seems to be shaping up to be really awesome!!! I would suggest Tutto. I think that it would be great for you and DH and also your kids. Some of my fondest memories are of eating at Alfredo's (Tutto took Alfredo's place) when I was really young.

I hear wonderful things about Boma!

I wouldn't focus too deeply on the names of the foods. They actually translate into pretty basic foods. For example Sauerbraten (my favourite) is really just pot roast and gravy! The food at Biergarten is very good and there is a great variety, even for the most unadventurous of palates.

The same thing goes with Boma. It is actually our very favourite buffet in all of WDW.

The room moves painfully slow here, practically unnoticeable.

Maybe list-Crystal Palace dinner, 50's Primetime Cafe dinner, 'Ohana breakfast, 1900 Park Fare breakfast, Cape May Cafe dinner, Biergarten dinner, Tutto Italia dinner, Boma dinner, Hollywood & Vine lunch

Off of your "maybe" list, I would do
50's Primetime Cafe - Your kids will get a laugh out of mom and dad gettin in trouble for having their elbows on the table, and the food is really good
Boma dinner - Lots of variety and unique foods that you won't get at any other buffet
Biergarten dinner - Kids will love being able to dance to some oompah bands

Ones you didn't include but I would recommend are
Chefs De France lunch - Remy visits your table and has a photo-op with you
Coral Reef - Dine with the fishies!

All your choices are great. I would definitely go with O'Hana for dinner, not breakfast. I know it's fun to see the characters, but my kids like the dinner entertainment better.. they get to do the hula & coconut races. Also, the banana bread pudding is the best dessert ever! ::yes::

50's Prime Time
Crystal Palace
Hollywood & Vine
Boma's

We don't eat in the same place twice, even for different meals but that's just us:goodvibes
