Help With Ding

I loaded Ding last night (without really understanding this program). Can someone tell me when I will know when they have sent out a special? Is there an email or what? How long do I have to make a decision on that special? Any information on how this works would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a million!!

See the ding icon on the bottom of your screen? (on the toolbar at the bottom or top of your screen?). it looks like the SW wing or tail and is orange? When there is a new ding, an envelope will appear on it. Click on it and it will take you to the ding offers. You have a few hours to take advantage.

Right now it looks like there is the wing with an exclamation point on top of it. When I run my curser over it it says "a communication error has occured". Not sure what this means. When I clicked on the icon, though, it took me to a box that said the last offer was yesterday and to look for more soon. Guess it will still go through with the error message? Is there a certain day these specials come out or is it just anytime? Is there an actual ding sound by my computer or is that just the name of the program? Thanks for the help.

There is an actual ding sound when a fare appears. I get that communication error too, especially after my computer goes to hibernate. I find the easiest way to fix the problem is to Right-click on the icon, then click on Connect Now. That should solve the problem.

Is there a certain day these specials come out or is it just anytime?

I usually get DING'd 2 times a day
But sometimes once, and sometimes 3 times.
