My whole family (7 adults, 1 16 yr old girl) will be in WDW this Thanksgiving celebrating my 20th anniversary. We are staying at BCV in one condo. I would like to leave a little treat, or have one delivered, in the room each day to surprise my family. Any cheap ideas?

Hi!

Definitely check out eBay to see if they have some inexpensive lots of items that you can hide in your suitcase. Pins, Disney stuffed beanie babies, candy, homemade cards, Disney Dollars...they are all great gifts. You could also give each person a postcard with a stamp one day, so they can write to friends and family back home!

Go for gifts that are not bulky and can be fun and/or useful (food is always great too!) Also try to get some information before you leave from your family members to make gifts more personal (like favorite characters, favorite rides, etc). Or go for an item that everyone can wear together (like coordinating pins).

I can't answer what can be delivered to the room, but you can definitely have any souvenirs that you buy delivered to the room. A great way for giving surprise treats that you find during the day! :smooth:

Here is some information and ideas I have found:

I bought Disney mini fans, stuffed characters, Disney markers and crayons, mini Disney water game, stickers, light chasers, glow necklaces and bracelets, big Mickey lollipops and more junk. I'm wrapping them in Disney paper and leaving them each night from Tinkerbelle.

My kids are teens and they still like their surprises!
First night (we'll be going to MK in the morning) -- Mickey will leave pin lanyards (that I got from Kellogg’s cereal for around $4 each several months ago)
Second night (we'll be going to Animal Kingdom the next morning) -- cheap disposable cameras left by Puma and Timon to take pictures of the animals
Third night (we'll be going to MGM in the morning) -- glow sticks & glow bracelets that they can use in the dark rides (like Tower of Terror) and at Fantasmic, left by ?? (Haven’t decided yet)
Fourth night (well be going to EPCOT in the morning) -- the Goofy scavenger hunt booklets that you can get free at the gate to EPCOT and Mickey Ear pens to write in them (I'll pop over and grab them one evening without the kids) left by Goofy

New pajamas with favorite character
Create a letter from Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Pluto. Download the Disney, Mickey, and Minnie fonts. Sign the letter with each character’s font.

Eeyor Kelly, Do have a web site for the Mickey Minnie fonts? I was thinking this would make a great trip planner font also. I am sure after I use them my three DKs would appreciate a letter from Mickey and Minnie. :goodvibes
Thanks in Advance

You can also keep your eye on your local Disney Store. As they put things on sale, you can pick stuff up a little cheaper to put away for your trip. :sunny:

I like surprising my kids with food I don't usually buy... like Disney cereals and Disney poptarts and Disney roll ups. The doolar tree also has Disney big suckers that are a favorite. Check out your Salvation Army or such for like new Disney stuffed animals and Disney books. I even like to give my kids Disney toothpaste. This year i am buying special for twin niece and nephew that are goign for the first time (age 6) and my teen girls were like "aren't we getting soem of that stuff too?" so needless to say had to put some specials in for them too. Dollar tree has Disney night ligyts that are really cute and nice to have in a hotel room.
