Does anyone have any suggestions on where to eat for your counter meals? We love hamburgers and hotdogs but would like to have a few different places to choose from.

There many choices in CS meals at the different parks.
At MK We like Cosmic Rays (chicken/rib choices and Pinnochios Haus has Pizza, salads, hot sandwiches).
Epcot we like the CS Fish n' Chips which is found in UK World showcase and there is the new Mexican CS restaurant (but we haven't tried it yet).
DHS we ususally eat at Pizza Planet.
At Animal Kingdom there is Yak and Yeti CS (we ate there last trip and there were lots to choose from and our food was good.)

For some reason I'm drawing a blank trying to remember where we ate for most of our counter service meals. The ones I know I liked, and maybe that's why I actually remember them, is Earl of Sandwich-DTD, Cosmic Rays-MK and Columbia House-MK. Also McDonalds-AK, but that was out of desparation. If you happen to be at the Coronado Springs Resort, the Pepper Market is really good and also good use of counter service credits if on dining plan.

For something other than the usual:
Mk- Cosmic Ray's
AK-Flame Tree
DHS- We plan to try Starring Rolls this year
EPCOT- So many choices here Sunshine Seasons, Yakatori, Tangerine Cafe, and Yorkshire County are a few of our favorites.

In my opinion you cannot beat Pecos Bill in the MK. They have a nice "fixin's" bar so you can dress up your burger. They have very good chicken wraps and even a good BBQ pulled pork sandwich.

I find Cosmic Ray's to be only decent. Good if you stick to the simple things, but you definitely don't want to eat their ribs, chicken, etc if you are looking for good food.

Flame Tree BBQ in AK is very good. But beware the birds. You'll want to take your food someplace else if the birds are out in force.

We love Columbia Harbor house - Fish basket tuna sandwich fried shrimp basket.

AK is Flame Tree for us they have an amazing BBQ chicken Salad.

DHS- I agree above TSPP or Back lot express

Epcot- We like to try a new country every time we go.

Hotels- Contemp Cafe I like there flat breads
Capt cooks. Love everything
Boarwalk bakery Yummy sandwiches

WGPE is our all time favorite so many choices and you really can share the meals there.

Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.

Epcot: Electric Umbrella.

Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary.

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree BBQ & Pizzafari.

Downtown Disney: Earl of Sandwich.

Contemporary: Contempo Cafe.

Grand Floridian: Gasparilla's Grill & Games.

Boardwalk: Boardwalk Bakey & Boardwalk To Go.

Some duplicates that I second.
MK Pecos Bills for burgers. From what I remember, the fixin's bar is really big with mushrooms, grilled onions, the usual veggie topping: tomatoes, lettuce, pickles etc.
Also, like the Columbia Harbor House for fish and chips and clam choweder...sit upstairs
The fish n chips at the pickup window in Epcot's England.

Oh, and at MK--isn't a Dole Whip considered a meal :rotfl2:

My hubby wants sit down meals but I really liked these places my last two trips (without DH) and went more than once to the same place.

We like tasting different foods at Epcot but with 5 of us, we end up going from place to place not able to decide :confused3. Sometimes at Epcot it's just EASIER to have a sitdown meal we can all agree on.

Pecos Bills also have a Taco Salad that is terrific. Plus you can add as much stuff on it from the fixings bar as you like....mmmm mmmm.

Cosmic Ray's also has a cheese steak that is huge!! That thing is really big enough for 2 people.

Sunshine Seasons (epcot) has plenty of choice. Asian, sandwiches, soups and salads, as well as a pork chop that is the size of a large slab of Prime Rib.
You will also find most "worlds" in Epcot have a CS place as well. Like France has a ham and cheese that is wonderful (I hear anyway, it is on my list to do).

If you are planning to visit DTD, I would suggest Wolfgang Puck's Express (in the market place). They have pastas, pizzas and the best creme brulee. It is the value of a TS, but CS credit. They actually serve you once you order from the counter. Very cool....and great food.

i can't think of the name, but it's on the back side of the GF...take the monorail from EPCOT or MK...also, for a snack, you can build your own sundae! its large enough for 2 to share!!!!

Our favorites:
MK - Pecos Bills or Cosmic Rays. Used to be Columbia Harbor House but let's just say a bad tuna sandwich will taint your view a little.

Epcot: Anyplace but Electric Umbrella or the QS at American Adventure. These aren't bad but you can get better and more interesting food every place else.

Studios: No real preference, usually just whatever is closet. Pizza Planet is probably the best though.

AK: Turkey Legs - it was just easier

Another vote for Pecos Bill in the MK. I always have one lunch there on my visits.

I also enjoy Sunshine Seasons at The Land at EC and Flame Tree BBQ at AK.

I agree! If you are burger people Pecos Bills can't be beat. The fixings bar is wonderful.

Flame Tree is our favorite in AK but it isn't known for it's burgers and hotdogs. It is a barbecue place. The ribs and chicken are fabulous.

Hollywood Studios.....we can't find one. I even asked for some advice a week ago on here. So I ended up booking a table service for lunch and when the park closes at 7 we are heading to DTD to get some Earl of Sandwich!

Tangierine Cafe is in Morocco and our favorite in Epcot. Not a burger place either. But Sunshine Seasons is in the Land and has some of everything.

MK: we haven't tried one yet, but I'd like to try Cosmic Ray's or Pecos Bill's
EPCOT: Liberty Inn had a good hot dog & bbq sandwich
DHS: Pizza Planet had a fine pizza
AK: we haven't tried one yet, but the bbq place would be my pick
DTD: Cooke's of Dublin had good fish & fries; best ice cream I've had in a long time
TL: I loved the bbq sandwich from Typhoon Tilly's

MK - Columbia Harbour House has great sandwiches

DHS - Backlot Studios has a good veggie sandwich and Starring Rolls has good sandwiches plus you get a great cupcake.

AK - I have no suggestions since we always do a sit down breakfast and then just have snacks later on. I plan to try Yak and Yeti next month while I am there.

Epcot - Sunshine Seasons has a nice salmon entree, Morocco has a great counter service, Fish and Chips in England, and there are great snacks in just about every country. The pastry shop in France is a must do!

DTD - Wolfgang Puck Express of course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The resort counter service places seem to have nice salads to choose from and some different choices than hamburgers/hot dogs.
