So I just found out that one or maybe two families may be joining us for our upcoming trip....I have sent an invite to the families (only the moms) to share my MDE, but is that all I need to do to make sure all magicbands are connected for the MM+ and for FP.
Seems like that is too easy.
Thanks for the help...

1. Send invitation to the families you want to have join you.
2. The families need to accept your invitation.
3. When they accept your invitation, make sure that they've checked the boxes that allows you to view their photos and plans.
4. You will now be able to see all of their photos. Therefore, you will be able to download/modify any of the pictures that they take during your MM period.
5. Please note that you will only be able to see the photos attached to the band of the person who is linked to you, and you will only be able to make FP reservations for the person who is linked to you. So, if each family has 4 people, and you only add the moms to your F&F lists, you will only be able to make FP reservations and print pics that are on the mom's MB.

So if I want to be able to make FP reservations and see picks for all the other families Magicbands, but the kids don't have their own accounts how do I do that?

Thanks!!

If the kids have MBs, then they can have accounts. The parents sign them up for the account. When they sign up for the account, it asks for the age. If it is under 18, a parent is in charge of the account. My DN is 16. I sent her an invitation, and it went to her mom, who approved the connection, it also sent a message to me that my SIL has control of DN account. Once my SIL approved the connection, my DN showed up in my account.

Kids have be to be at least 13 in order to have an account (per the Family and Friends page), so none of the kids we have would qualify....

I wasn't aware that the rules were different for under 13.

From FP+ page:

Streamline planning for any size group.
If you’re the one making plans for your family or travel party, be sure everyone is in Family & Friends. Then you’ll be able to quickly add anyone in your list to reservations and activities, and view and manage the plans for your entire party.
Get started now.
Simply go to your Profile and select “Add a New Guest” in Family & Friends. Adding new Guests is easy:

For kids or other Guests who don’t have Disney accounts, enter the name and age—that’s it. You’ll manage all the plans for that person.
To add someone who has his or her own Disney account, use Family & Friends to send an email invitation to connect. Once your invitation is accepted, you can start making plans together.

Both of my kids are under 13 if I try to click on them to invite I get a message that they are not eligible because they are under 13, so perhaps you actually have the scenario before it pops up.

Thanks for trying to help though.

If I try to send an invite to share from either of my kids I get a message that says they have to be 13 to have an account.

Us moms will just scan our magic bands to be on the safe side. Thanks though!
