Help with choosing which day to go please!

We are going to Disneyland may 3-may 10th. We arrive late May 3rd, so our first day will be Friday, May 4th. We are going to do one weekend day (for the longer hours and events) and then the following Tuesday and Wednesday.

That weekend is May5th (sat) which is Cinco de Mayo and then May 6th is the AIDS walk. Which day should we go? We were planning to go on the Sunday because normally apparently Sundays are less busy, but will it be less busy even with the AIDS walk happening? Has anyone been there during the previous years when they had the AIDS walk?

I would not worry about Sunday being more crowded, in fact it may be extra better.

Because of the AIDs walk one thing happens. MM gets moved to Monday, and DL open at 9 instead of 8. It doesn't effect crowds unless you are driving to the MF garage.

So it's really a question of better crowds on Sunday, or getting the regular length day on Saturday.

I have been noticing lately that Saturdays have less local traffic because the SoCal and Deluxe passes are blocked out. Not sure about May. I think Sunday might be your safest bet, but look at the passholder blockout calendar too.
