Help with Chinese New Year????

HI,
I was looking for some ideas for Chinese New Year....

My daughter has Chinese ancestry and I was curious what I might take as a treat or gift to her preschool class?

I know it is the year of the pig and about Lai-See envelopes....just curious if anyone else had any ideas?

Our last name is Wong and I found out the symbol for that, so I am hoping to tie that in somehow.

Not sure what else...this is the first year we have really started discussing it with her, so I am learning myself!!!

Maybe make gao or moon cakes? I know there is a child's book about moon cakes.

You didn't say activity, but here are some suggestions:
Does she have a cheong sam (a dress) or outfit she can wear?

Perhaps make paper dragons or Chinese lanterns? I did this one year with my kids and found a link online for directions. I think it was at enchantedlearning.com.

Maybe learn to write in Cantonese or Mandarin using brush and ink or learn to use chopsticks?
