Hi, about 2 years ago, I purchased a Canon Powershot SX610HS for Disney. I always seem to have trouble getting evening shots to come out light enough-this year we just bought tickets for Mickey's not so scary Halloween, so I'd really like those night shots to come out-Does anyone have suggestions for what settings my camera should be on to achieve this?
My day shots come out beautiful, it's just that I would like to be able to get some nice shots of the decorations and parade.
thank you!!

Put it on a tripod, set it into aperture priority mode. Set the ISO to 100, aperture to f8. Be prepared for 10-30 second shutter times.

This article also discusses your night options under the "Handheld Night Scene section.
