We are arriving late in Sunday. 10am and going to California adventure.
I know it's late already but we don't have a choice.
Can you please suggest any game plans?
My son really wants to see Carsland and ride RSR But I know it'll be a two hour wait and FP will already be gone.
Should we just head straight there anyway or wait until night and hit other places first?
Any advice is appreciated!

Will you only be at the DLR for one day?
I am not sure how old your son is, but you may want to consider the single-rider line. Mater's should be doable (20-30 min wait), and Luigi's will have a longer wait because it is a slow loading ride.
Have fun!

We will only be in CA for one day. and my son is 8 and would prefer for all of us to ride together.. so what do you think? Go straight there midmorning or wait until the afternoon or evening?

What have others done?
Is there an order you go see different park areas?

My family won't be there until next Sunday, so I have not seen Carsland yet, but from what I'm reading of others experience you will need to decide what your priority is.

If RSR is your top priority, then understand that you will need to invest a considerable portion of your day to ride together (if you choose to forego the single rider line). This will of course mean you have less time to ride other rides in the park that day.

Here's my suggestion / opinion. Since you're already arriving late it won't matter too much if you're a little later. I would grab a Soarin' Over CA fastpass as I walked by (convenient since it's close to the entrance), and make a quick trip to CA Screamin' for another set of FP's (since it's disconnected from the FP network) and then head to RSR. That way you know you'll have two other major attractions to ride with minimal wait after RSR, even though it will be afternoon and the busiest part of the day in the park.

After RSR, you may want to take a look at MatersJJ to see if the line is reasonable, before heading off to your two FP rides, or, grab a Tower of Terror FP since you'll be close by, then do Maters and your FP rides.

Just a suggestion, but this is what I think my family would do if we were in your situation.

Good luck, and have a great trip.
