My family has stayed in Art of Animation and Pop Century before so we know how bussing works but I am quite confused about the info I am reading about the bussing at CBR. There is apparently an internal bus...does it stay in the resort? Do you take the internal bus to the main entrance and then catch the bus to the parks? Does the CBR bus makes stops at other resorts before arriving at any of the parks? The Pop Century bus stop at all of the parks is the furthest away, where is the CBR stop? The Pop century busses were always packed full because they have fewer and come less often, what about CBR?

The internal bus is just that. Services all internal bus stops and is used to get to Olde Port Royal and the Custom House. All the parks and DS have buses that service all stops in CBR. Different times of the day, you may see a bus from a park service half the resort. There will then be a bus to service the other half of the resort.

Bus stop locations at the parks vary, POP is not always the furthest away from the entrance. CBR tends to be in the middle but there are no guarantees that you will see this in all parks.

There are 7 "village" stops at CBR, plus a stop at the Custom House, which is the check-in area. Your room will be in one of the villages, which are named after Caribbean islands or countries: Jamaica, Martinique, etc.

To get to a theme park or DS, you just go to the nearest village bus stop and wait for a bus to your destination; no transfer is needed. To get back, just board a CBR bus and stay on until it gets to your stop. Buses come into the resort at 2 different entrances, so your stop may be the 1st one on one trip and the 4th stop on another.

Buses returning to CBR usually make all village stops in the resort, unless it's before 11am or if there are a lot of Guests boarding at the resort and the bus fills up. If a bus fills up before reaching its last stop, and there were Guests on the bus returning to the resort, the driver should ask whether there are Guests destined for one of the remaining stops. If you get on a bus at the resort intending to get off at another stop within the resort, let the driver know just in case it fills up. If you are returning to the resort before 11am, check with the driver that the bus is going to your village.

The 8th stop is the Custom House. Theme park and DS buses do not stop at the Custom House; it is serviced only by the Internal Resort Shuttle. (The ESPN WWoS bus also picks up here.) You can board the Internal Resort Shuttle at any village stop to go to Custom House, or to Old Port Royale where the restaurants and recreation are located. The Custom House is also a very short walk from the Barbados stop. Depending on the time of day and where you are starting from, you may also be able to board a theme park or DS bus to get to Old Port Royale or Barbados; you will need to ask the driver. The same is true returning to your village from OPR.

I think that covers everything you need to know about CBR transportation. Feel free to ask any questions.

I'm not sure where you are getting some of your info. Why do you think the Pop has fewer buses that come less often? The bus service isn't better at a moderate than at a value. The bus service is just that, bus service. Honestly to me it seems better at the values then the moderate or deluxe resorts. Fewer stops, if any, before heading out to the parks.

You don't need to take the internal bus at CBR to get to a bus stop. There are 7 of the around the resort, and you only need walk to the one closest to where you are. The bus then circles the resort picking up other guests and then goes on its way.

We loved staying at Pop Century and loved the service we had with the busses. I am trying to do some research because we are looking at possibly staying at CBR this year. I am nervous about booking CBR because of the bussing and how many stops it makes.

I believe now a bus only picks up half of the resort, where before it went around to all 7 stops. If so, that is a huge improvement!

That is true for all parks in the a.m. After 11am, buses make all 7 stops.

Honestly, I wouldn't be nervous. We stayed at CBR this past spring and had the best bus service we'd ever experienced at a Disney resort. Wait times for buses were under 5 minutes 90% of the time and under 10 minutes for all but one time. The buses now service half of the resort at a time as I understand and when we were there that wasn't the case. We stayed in Jamaica and the majority of the time we were the first drop off coming back and frequently only picked up at one more stop before leaving for the park. On the occasion we had to make the rounds of the entire resort it only added 10 minutes to our overall trip time and that was usually on the way back.

On the flip side our first stay at Pop despite there only being one stop we waited much longer for buses, then had long lines to contend with so we didn't always get on the first bus and there always seemed to be a ton of ECVs to load which added more of a wait. So in the end with one stop the overall wait plus trip was longer.

Thank you so much for the help. We have really wanted to try a moderate resort, but coming from Canada, we pay a ton extra to visit Disney World. I just want to make sure we know everything about the resort before we pay. (I am a bit of a planner). CBR looks amazing!
