Bummed. Ok I am staying at POP for the 1st through the 5th of June and due to some dear friends, staying as guests for the 5-10 at OKW. But because I am at POP for only 4 nights I can only get a MYW dining package for 4 nights it will be just DS and I. I am now in need of budget ideas for food. My son is six and some days won’t eat anything and other days out eats me. I am thinking with all the walking he will out eat me most days. :confused3 (Skinny little thing too, not sure where he got that). Help!!!!!!

Remember--the only meal you cannot share is a buffet--all the rest are up for sharing!

If you are at OKW--not sure studio or 1BR..but you at least have a little fridge--if you have a car, you can stock up on some food at the grocery store.

Cheap eats--best on site: Trails End at FW. Yummy yummy.

Can't help otherwise--I'm a picky eater when it comes to WDW and don't do burgers and hot dogs--so it is always the challenge of where to find a good salad :)

Well, you could always bring snacks like pb&j crackers (you can get them at Walmart and they are not messy) goldfish, dried fruit etc to help out with the munchy stuff and breakfast items are easy.

Otherwise, I would look at sharing adult meals with him. The old, order the double cheeseburger and buy an extra bun thing may work for those days he is really hungry. Have breakfast in the room and do a late breakfast or early lunch buffet character meal seating and then maybe get away with an easy cheap dinner. If you do have a kitchen, premade pasta and Chicken Voila are cheap and yummy.

I would actually look twice at whether you even want the dining plan. I know it's only $10 for kids, but it's really pretty hard to get your money's worth unless you practically plan your entire stay around food. There are alot of threads about this. Some folks think it's worth it, but others not so much. Sometimes the old sit down restaurant thing with kids doesn't always work so well.

Trails End Buffeteria at FW!!! What we do when on a budget (like the 2 upcoming trips) is we will have breakfast in the room, I pack a box of cereal, oatmeal, and even some granola bars or pop tarts then we have a buffet lunch or an AYCE lunch at about 3 or 3:30 so we can get by on a snack until we get back to the resort. We also carry snacks in to the park, pb crackers, dried fruit, and other snack items to help cut costs. For in park meals like I said we do late lunch buffets, like at Crystal Palace, Hollywood and Vine, Garden Grill and well AK we don't go there lol. Popcorn is a great inexpensive snack and if you get the bucket its a souvenier too!
