Help with booking split stays- adding guests, magic bands, and tickets

Ok guys so I just need some advice and knowledge on booking a (semi) complicated reservation.
We would like to book a 2 br for December 2015 at 11 months out at our home resort for me, Dh, dd, and 3 family members.
Me, dh and dd want to go down before The family gets there. When it gets to 7 months out, we would like to book 4 extra nights before the start of the 2 br tip at whatever resort may be available for us in a studio.
Questions:
When we do this (add on 4 night for just us at beginning of trip), will this be a completely separate reservation?
Each time you have to switch resort or room type, is a separate reservation?
Do we get separate magic bands per reservation?
How and when do we add names to the specific reservations for magic bands?
And lastly, if me and dh have APs, and they purchase just the regular 5 day tickets, can I make all fastpass reservation for all of is on MDE? Can you link all the tickets for that visit?

Oh also!!! If we want to book ADRs, and we are staying a total of 8 nights (4 just us, and 4 w the family), will the system know we are staying those 8 nights (for the 180.+10?) or on the 180th day just let us book 4 nights?

Yes to every question. I think that the names need to be added 30 days before check in which is the MD cut off date.

Your guests and their tickets will need to be added to your MDE account for you to play the fast pass game for everyone.[

It will be a separate reservation if it's a different resort OR a different room type/booking category. You will get separate bands for those with 2 reservations. Add the names as soon as you have the reservation and know specifics. Enjoy.

180+10 and they don't hold you to the occupancy or those listed.
