Help with booking packages

Being Canadian, I just priced out the Dream Maker at Par Package (Visa) online (can't call right now as my baby is quite fiesty today!) I got a great price for the time that we are looking to travel (Apr. 30 - May 7/04) @ Pop Century. We always book Disney separately and have never seriously considered a package before as the policies are too restrictive (especially 45 day cancellation) seeing as how it has to be booked through Disney Travel. That being said, we are considering it this time because the package deal is quite good. I just read through all terms and conditions online, but I still have some questions:

1. Is deposit non-refundable?

2. If we purchase Vacation protection through Disney, is deposit refundable in case of emergency?

3. Has anyone purchased their insurance - is it comparable to what is out there?

4. I know that things hinge on the 45 day final payment window, so can any changes be made after this time?

5. What if a better package is offered, will they work with us, or are we out of luck?

I will try and answer your questions for you

1. The deposit is always fully refundable up until final payment date

2. If you add the insurance, the insurance $ is non refundable.

4. Changes can be made after final payment (44 days or less to arrival date) but there may be a charge, depending on what change you make

5. You can change, cancel your package anytime before final payment. If a better deal comes along after you have made final payment you will not be able to change it to another package without cancelling your existing one.
