There are three of us traveling together in October,,Dates October 23 (Saturday) to October 30th (Saturday) (three adults)

I live in Southern New Jersey close to Philadelphia International or I can fly out of Atlantic City on Spirit Airline..

My trip is booked now all I need to do is book our airline tickets..

Im not having such good luck finding good rates, I didnt want to pay more than $200.00 roud trip for each ticket..

We are flying in and out on a Saturday, and would like to fly out on an early flight on the day of arrival and a later flight on the day we leave to come back home...

Im looking for direct flights as well...

Am I booking too early? Where and how and when can I get the best rates?

Im getting rates around $240.00 and up..It shouldnt be that much, considering all the competetive airlines that are out there right now.,..I know Southwest is supposed to be flying out of Philly now, but they arent booking yet for October.,..

Help?? I need some advice???

Thanks...

If you're not getting good fares yet on USAir, AirTran or Spirit then I would wait to book your flight. Once Southwest releases fares for those dates they will all drop. With 4 "semi-major" airlines flying to MCO from the Philly area (I'm including Spirit out of ACY) there is almost certainly going to be a fare sale sooner or later. Keep checking the websites and when you see a fare <$200 (probably could get one for about $175 including taxes) then book it.

Hi micknpluto,

I have "Sidestep" downloaded. I plugged in your dates and got Airtran NONstop for $176.70 per person from Philly to MCO. You can just go to sidestep.com and download it for your own use. Its a very helpful site. I'm not sure if thats a good deal from where you're at or not but it didn't sound bad to me. Also, if you check out Bestfares.com and go to their 'quickfare finder' down the left column of the page...alot of times that can lead you to really good airfares also.

hope this helps, happy planning!

You're booking too early!!! I'm booking for a July 2004 trip (and it's mid-May!!). I'm already seeing the rates drop from a few weeks ago. I probably wouldn't even start looking until July when they come out with the Fall Fares.

I just booked with us air out of Philly $666 for four flying out the end of June. Try US air's direct site and play with the options. At first I was getting $1200 after playing around for a few hours I finally got close to what I want for $666. Today it went down to $550, UGH!
You may be booking to early.
