Help with beef/red wine sauce in crockpot!

Last year I came across a wonderful & easy recipe for beef in the most delicious sauce cooked in the crockpot. I found it on this board, but it's gone now. The recipe was so simple - I think only 3 ingredients - I *thought* I'd remember it so didn't make up a recipe card for it. Well, you know what's coming! After not making the beef all summer, I'VE FORGOTTEN THE RECIPE! I'm hoping to make it again this week, but need some help. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I know it had red wine in it, maybe cream of mushroom soup, and ????

If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it! My family would too!!

possibly red wine, cream of mshrm. soup & beef broth.

i do a roast with this & its delicious---of course i add a bay leaf & a bit of garlic

It's called No Peek Beef Casserole in my crockpot cookbook.

2 pounds cut up stew meat
1 ~ 1-3/8 oz. dry onion soup mix
1 ~ 10-3/4 oz. can of cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup red wine
1 ~ 4 oz. can of drained mushrooms

Throw all together in crockpot and cook on low for 8 - 10 hours.

This is one of my favorite dishes! Enjoy!!

Thank you SO MUCH! I'll be making this again this week thanks to you both! You're recipes are a little different - I'll have to try both at some point! But I think the missing ingredient I was looking for was the beef stock.
