Help with beach!

My family is headed to disney for Vball tournament next month. I can't make a decision on beach... We are spending a couple days at the beach during our trip. I've narrowed it down to two different ones....

Fort Myers ( a resort right on the beach)

Or

Sanibel Island (a resort on the beach)

Now I was dead set on sanibel island. I want powdery sand, lots of shells and low waves for the kids to play in.

Please help! The difference between the two reports is about $120 and breakfast is included in one. Breakfast is not a selling point for me as we will have a full kitchen in both....

Which one would you go too? Again my kids ages are 15, 10, and 2. Need powdery sand, great blue water, and lots of shells!

Ah, all of my favorite places we travel to Naples every winter...


If you want the powerdery sand - - - you may want to check out Siesta Key. It's unbelievable. So pretty. Exactly what you want......


If you want Seashells you want Sanibel Island - one of my favorite places on earth. What resort on Sanibel... some of the beaches are more sandy than others. Some are more shelly.


Fort Myers beach is also awesome. Great sand. Shells etc.

You really can't go wrong with Sanibel, Siesta Key, Fort Myers etc. We come home every winter with enough beautiful seashells (and not just boring ones either) to fill a large vase.
